Since childhood VanSchoyck has been engaged in the arts and creative self-expression such as drawing, painting, music, dance, theatre, and film: Unsolved Mysteries, Little Man Tate; print work, commercials and industrial films. VanSchoyck’s exploration into the medium of oil has been self-taught and structured. At CSAD in the late 60’s she attended evening classes focusing on Figure Drawing and Fashion Illustration. She has attended numerous workshops, seminars and demonstrations by artists Michael Dudash, Karl-Heintz, Kevin Macpherson and Robert Warren. From 2010-2015 she was represented by Park View Gallery in Chillicothe, had three Solo Exhibits and also conducted oil painting classes for adults . VanSchoyck is an Ohio native and has lived in the Columbus area since 1967. Formerly a resident of Upper Arlington, she now resides in Canal Winchester.
